Gentleman, good day and hello.

I would like to talk to you about this year's fisting party at CCBC in Palm Springs, and the exciting new developments that have taken place over the past few weeks.  You may recall that a partnership produced Fist Fest 2009.  You may have also got wind of differences of opinion between the promoters that cropped up during the planning and execution of the event.  The result of those disagreements was the dissolution of the partnership which produced Fist Fest 2009.  Why should you be interested in any of this? That's a good question.  And I feel the answer is that, really, it's not something that holds any interest for anyone of the participants.  The whys and wherefores of the disagreement and dissolution are unimportant.  I feel that you, as valued participants, are interested in the future and especially Fist FFest 2010.

The good news is that a Fist Fest will be held again this year at Cathedral City Boys Club (CCBC) on June 10 - 13, 2010.  This year the host hotel has approached me, and we have discussed and resolved last year's differences.   They felt the advance planning and the hands-on management that I can bring to the table are what is needed to pull off a truly well-run, well-done event.   And that is what I am promising you, too.

Running Fist FFest 2010 on my own is a challenge that I am up for. I am ready.  And I am committed to restoring and expanding the good will established by the founder of Fist Fest, Bill Freyer.  I am earmarking a considerably larger portion of the proceeds to local Palm Springs charities. I am reforging the ties with sponsors who felt that they had to pull out of last year's event. And I am guaranteeing that there really will be hundreds of dollars worth of prizes and awards this year.

I am here to tell you that I have been working very closely with the host hotel these past few weeks.  I have listened to their concerns about last year's event, and what they saw as strong points.  And what they saw as shortcomings.  I let them know, and I would like to let you know, that I am deeply committed to producing an event that meets their standards.  And that not only meets your standards, but exceeds them!

Past events have given Fist Fest a reputation for being a world class event.  I intended to continue in that tradition.  With that in mind, gentlemen, I am extending to each and every one of you a warm welcome to Fist FFest 2010, and my assurances that I will give this largest event of its kind in the world the attention and care that it deserves as the world's largest event of its kind.
